Coating your concrete floors

May 16th, 2008 · No Comments · Industrial Flooring

How is your safety record?  Are slippery floors causing lost time due to slip/fall accidents?

There are many advantages to coating your concrete floors:

  • Coatings can be non-slip for safety.  They reduce slips and falls, providing a safer work environment.  The non-slip feature can be tailored to your needs and environment.
  • Coatings can be color coded to identify safety walk areas and also to comply with the 5S program (to identify where inventory/equipment should be stored).
  • Coatings protect the concrete from wear and chemicals.  Protective coatings (such as epoxy coatings, urethanes and acrylics) are suitable for splash and spill of acids, alkalies, solvents, etc.
  • Protective coatings make the concrete easy to clean.  They also lighten and brighten the work area.
  • Coatings are suitable and recommended for heavy forklift, cart and foot traffic.
  • Coated floors look great!  Impress your customers who walk through the plant.
