Concrete Coatings

August 22nd, 2008 · No Comments · Industrial Flooring

A St. Paul manufacturing plant had a vacant room due to some reorganization.  Before equipment was reinstalled in the space, the owner decided to recoat the epoxy floor to give it a fresh new look.  It’s rare to get an opportunity to recoat a floor when the room is wide open and totally empty.  The owner chose TMI for this job because we have done flooring work at this facility in the past.

The floor was abraded using mechanical grinders and the eroded concrete areas were restored to the surrounding plane.  High spots where concrete slabs met were ground down for a smooth transition before the concrete floor was recoated with epoxy.

The floor was recoated in May with CHEM-RESIST epoxy and in August the owner said it still looks like new.
