A chemical company was changing the service of a tank and needed a new lining that was suitable for the new contents.
Before TMI arrived on site, the owner emptied the tank and rinsed it clean. TMI then pre-baked the tank interior per the manufacturer’s recommendations to drive out inert contaminates. TMI sandblasted the tank interior with several tons of sand in order to achieve a profile of SSPC-SP10 Near White Metal Blast. The interior of the tank was then lined with a food grade approved epoxy tank lining.
The owner required that the tank lining be cured and ready for the new service on schedule so they would be ready for the barge delivery.
