What floor product is right for my environment?
Cementitious Urethane – A heavy-duty industrial floor topping, trowel applied at 1/4” – 3/8” for resistance to impact, heat and thermal shock. Commonly used in areas exposed to high temperatures. Found in industrial kitchens, chemical storage areas, receiving/loading docks, sanitize/wash areas, and bottling areas. Other benefits include easy maintenance and superior chemical resistance.
Epoxy – High-build coatings provide excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. Epoxy floor coatings are highly resistant to the deteriorating effects of many acids, alkalis, solvents, greases, oils, and other active chemicals. Available at 10 mils up to 1/4” thickness. Commonly a sand filler, steel shavings or fiberglass mat is imbedded for durability and slip resistance. Offered in a variety of finishes including decorative options. Used in pharmaceutical facilities, laboratories, health care facilities and retail facilities. Epoxy coatings provide easy maintenance and are much easier to broom clean.
Urethane – Urethanes have extreme abrasion resistance, good color retention and gloss. A high performance urethane coating will provide a tough, durable finish for light industrial use. Urethanes are often used in high traffic areas. They provide chemical resistance, are easy to maintain and provide maximum stain resistance.
Vinyl Ester – Vinyl ester floor topping with filler provides excellent resistance to both acids and alkalis at room and elevated temperatures. Vinyl esters are used to manufacture TMI CHEM-RESIST and TMI FIBERLIFE. Vinyl ester provides strength, toughness and superior chemical resistance at high temperatures.
Acrylic Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) – For use in plants where shutdown time is almost non-existent; an acrylic floor cures within 2 hours! Satin, not gloss. Durable and long lasting. Provides high strength. This flooring is used in many areas including: laboratories, loading docks and commercial kitchens. Acrylics come in a variety of colors and decorative options. Can be applied in low temperatures, including below freezing. Cures chemically, not by temperature.
ESD - Conductive and static dissipative flooring reduces electric static charges. Available in <109 OHMS of resistance. Conductive – 104 to 106 OHMS, ESD – 106 to 109 OHMS. Keeps surfaces smooth, light reflective, chemically resistant and easily maintained. Unique combination of ESD control properties provide impact resistance and high bond strength to concrete. ESD flooring is used in a variety of industries such as electronics data processing, military/aerospace, photographic and hazard industries.
