TMI Coatings wins the “William Johnson Award”.

TMI Coatings wins the “William Johnson Award” for outstanding achievement in demonstrating aesthetic merit for an industrial coating project. The repainting of the historic water tower in the City of Ft. Atkinson, WI was selected as the project compliments the environment while enhancing the structure itself. TMI received the award at the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) conference in Tampa, FL February 2012.

TMI Team Hits the Road for the MS150 Bike Trip

For the 6th consecutive year, TMI rode in the MS150 bike ride from Duluth to the Twin Cities.

The ride found the team starting their trip early morning in the fog, biking on trails all day until reaching Hinckley late afternoon. The second day was spent riding on trails, through neighborhoods and beside Forest Lake and White Bear Lake.

This year 3,400 riders raised $2.5 million for Bike MS. Donations help raise awareness, fund MS research and support programs for nearly 10,000 people affected in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

TMI Coatings re-certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise

TMI Coatings, Inc., received national re-certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC), a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

WBENC’s national standard of certification implemented by the WBDC is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
